Hello Anne... I'm glad your TURBT went well and your path report came back quickly with good news. I think you made a very smart decision to send your slides for second opinions. The more information we have, the better it makes us feel that things are on the right track.

Doctor called to say that the pathology report came back, they got all the cancer and it was the same stage and grading as the first one removed. Next week, I have an appointment to review, Lets hope he included muscle in the biopsy, on my way into the operating room I asked him, to make sure it included muscle, based on the article I reviewed last week. Also I will send my slides to John Hopkins, and Moffitt to get a second opinion.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers for my procedure today.This TURBT was nothing like the last, it almost seemed like a cystoscopy under anesthesia. There was no need for a catheter, no pain at all. Doctor said he got it all, kidneys good, and will get results next week on the biopsy.
