I had a delay of a week somewhere in my first or second 6 week regimen. I can't remember even why-might have even been out of BCG? As Sara Anne indicated a few weeks probably should make no difference. There isn't even a consensus on how many instillations nor how long a maintenance schedule should be. That said, BCG is important!
DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.
For a specific answer to the question in your particular case, you would need to ask your urologist. However, most of us who have been through the BCG series have had delays due to bladder infections or excessive irritation which lasted several weeks.
I would be sure to ask your urologist about a maintenance regimin after your initial series

Hello, I have had surgery and started my BCG for the 6 week period. after my second treatment I was told they ran out of the BCG and they weren't sure when they would be getting it in and I was to continue to call and check as to when it would be in. A week later I called and the nurse said they had a few extra so I was able to have my third treatment, After the treatment I asked if they had enough for my last two and they said they did so I went in Monday and was told they were out. My question is with so much being missed will I have to start over and does it effect the chances of the cancer coming back?
Thank You
