BIG! BIG! Congratulations!!!! The BIG 5 Year .........ALL CLEAR!!!

This is a Milestone for us c patients. The non club members don't quite get it, but, for us, It Means we are as close to cured as we can get.

BUT

I am still afraid to go out there for a year. Weird. I thought it was me. But I asked for a 6 month follow up again. Somehow it is comforting to know that they take a look on a 6 month basis.

I am all with you. At 5 years, we are supposed to be "cured" but I'm still afraid to go out into the yard without the leash.

Joey. You should Celebrate Like it's 2013! You deserve it!

Thanks for being here and giving us the update.

Wonderful news Joey! I have been watching for your report, and so happy you are in the 5 year club.
I am in my first "one year check" and August is my next appointment. I was nervous from the three month to the six month...got over that, so went to the one year with apprehension, and I have to admit, it passed quickly. (Of course thinking of August I get butterflies)

Wonderful to hear Joey! There are several of us on the boar here on the same "track", so to speak in terms of t9iming. Technically my 5 years was up in June, but my check up was in April, so they suggested one more 6-month check in October. They left it up to me as to whether I wanted to go to one year checks after the April all-clear, but I decided to play it safe and go with the October check they recommended.

Again, my congratulations and best wishes for more many more all-clears to come

Congrats, Joey. I know the feeling that more than 6 months is a little too long. I have been on yearly for 2 years BUT, I scheduled my annual physical to be 6 months opposite of my annual cystoscope doing a cytolgy. While not perfect that test does give us some data.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

Had my 5 year follow up cysto yesterday and was advised my bladder looked good. Feel great but still anxiously waiting cytology results. If clear can go to 1 year follow up, however I requested to be seen at 9 months this first time. I guess I chickened out for the one year option at this time.
