Hi Sorry I haven't got back to you. Well I went to the doctor on Wednesday and got copies of all my records. The results were good no visible cancer tumors but they did find the left ureteral showed the presence of atypical cells which are suspicious for carcinoma. There was dark staining. So the doctor ordered a Fish test and I have to wait for Wednesday for the results.
my bladder is finally back to normal after a lot of cranberry juice.
I will wait for results and do 3 month follow ups.

I trust you have been checked for a urinary tract infection (UTI) because those are symptomatic of those symptoms.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

Albert, the fluorescent cytology can be more sensitive than some other tests, but does take longer to get results, and it is usually sent out rather than developed at the local site. It can give more "false positives" than some other tests.

I just got a hint, from your posting, that you are not delighted with the care you seem to be getting  . Since you are in the LA area, you are near one of the top bladder cancer centers in the country....USC/Norris. If you feel that you need a second opinion or someone else to look at this situation, they would be the obvious choice. BTW, a second opinion at a place that does a LOT of bladder cancer treatment is always a good idea.

Thanks, I feel like I am catching a fever and chills. I will take antibiotics early and Tylenol and go to bed.
