B,

Congratulations to DH for making it past the first BCG treatments. Hoping the tiredness is his body fighting!!!

Congrats on getting to #6... You absolutely should be celebrating! I am so glad to see the word "cheerful" in your post to describe your DH. I know you have much to do with that! He has been through a tough time and both of you have hung in there with determination and strength.

I hope his tiredness goes away soon and the two of you can enjoy the weeks ahead!

Best wishes... Catherine

BCG #6 - completed. We feel like we should be celebrating life & also the 6 chemo-free weeks ahead. Cysto is scheduled for mid-August.
DH is still tired but he is cheerful. So many blessings, including each of you.

This is the same reply that I posted under "Newly Diagnosed" but I wanted to be sure that you saw it!!

Everyone reacts differently but usually, after the first few BCG treatments, a bit of fatigue is the only reaction. As you have more treatments, and the body becomes sensitized to it building up its immune response, the reactions slowly build a bit. It is much too early to have any concerns about not reacting enough! If he is lucky this is the worst it will be, but I would guess that he will experience a few more side effects in the future.

Dear Hubby was diagnosed in March. TURBT in April. BCG #1 in May.

BCG #2; completed (Monday). Reaction; tired that night & the next day. Is it ok that he didn't have more of a reaction? I'm so concerned... Thanks for listening & suggesting.
