I would think based on my reading of MMC that 2 hours is sufficient to hold in the bladder, then drink water for the next few hours to flush it out of your system. MMC has success with non invasive low grade bladder cancer, whereas BCG is the gold treatment for high grade and CIS. Good luck with your treatments.

Glad to see you didn't have any issues. I was asked to hold it for 2 hours. Just make sure you don't drink any liquids 2-3 hours prior to the procedure. I am on a monthly dosage now.

Glad it went well!
I forget how long to hold but that is one to just do whatever your doc says.

I am happy to say I had my first treatment this past Friday morning, and everything seemed to go much much better than I expected. I held the mitomycin in the bladder for 3.5 hours. Do I want to hold it in that long? Any way I am so happy that I found this site and all the great people, with great wisdom! Thank you all for the encouragement!

I understand. When I failed BCG and they were switching me to mitomycin I wound up reading the drug insert online and read all that SCARY stuff before I figured it out it wasn't for bladder treatment.

Thanks Mike, My doctor also reminded me of the same as I was leaving his office on Monday. And of course I completely forgot and started researching God knows what!
