Thanks for the positive news Joey. It's been about 9 months since my first BCG affair. Ready for Friday, if the infection is gone. I didn't ask if this time is considered "maintenance", since they did remove another tumor.

9/2013 finished chemo -cancer free again
1/2014 ct scan results....distant mets
2/2014 ct result...spread to liver, kidneys, and lymph...

After my initial 6 BCG treatments I waited 9 months before the maintenace treatment was started because my bladder I was told looked like a war zone and they wanted all the inflammation etc to subside. I too wanted to start on the maintence ASAP. I will now be going for my 29th tomorrow, 4.5 years later and no recurrence since BCG maintenance.

The delay will not decrease the efficacy of the BCG. Getting BCG while having an infection can be very hazardous. They will also delay if there is any blood present as it is critical the BCG not get into the bloodstream.

I suspect that the delay won't reduce the effectiveness.
Think your body will "know" that you have had it before and react accordingly.
