No, the anxiety never goes away totally. But as time goes by you start to understand that this is part of the process. And you never take a day for granted again.

Now, if you come up with a way of not having any anxiety a week or two away from a check up, you be sure and tell us.

I for one would like to know. ;)

Joe, I don't think the anxiety for me at least goes away. The closer I get to my follow up the more I think about it. However the longer I go without a recurrence in some way the more positive I am regarding the outcome. I am 4.5 years out and just had my 28th BCG treatment on Tuesday. Two more to go and then nothing until December. You will learn to live and deal with it.

Thanks all. I'm having a fantastic week. It's amazing how getting an "All Clear" changes an attitude.

Wife and I will be spending time on the north shore of Boston this weekend, enjoying weather and great company.

My present to myself and my wife was to book time in Nantucket as a celebration. We booked during the cold month of February, hoping, praying that we'll have a great holiday. Well, it's now three weeks away and can't wait to keep it going.

Thanks again to all who have provided prayers, positive vibes and words of encouragement.

Now,,,,, to those of you who have had this experience, does the anxiety ever go away? If not, how do you deal with it on a daily basis? At this point it's new and I'm still on a high. Does that go away?

Thanks -

Joe

Thanks much for all the kind words. Today will be a day of celebration with my daughters. Weather should be pretty decent here in Boston.

Happy Father's Day to all of you.
