This is MY opinion...and on this subject, no matter what anyone says, it is all opinion...not much science. IT NEVER HURTS TO EAT SENSIBLY. But when it comes to "special" diets, etc., it is a bunch of @#$%. Diet may have a major role in preventing bladder cancer, but...and here is the kicker....the cellular changes that led to our disease started 30 or more years ago. IF diet were to cure us, we would have had to do it way back then. The molecular changes in our DNA are already done.

Like Pat, I do try to watch what I eat...but I am not under any illusions about reversing cancer with diet. You should eat sensibly, try to stay away from the "bad stuff," drink lots of fluids...you know the drill.

Sorry, but I am pretty sure that diet is NOT going to reverse anything.

I don't know Rocky..if your recur is still superficial the TURB might be all you need.
As for diet......they are making a killing out there promoting diet and natural cures for all kinds of cancer. Now i do think fast food is junk.......i know that our vegetables are filled with pesticides and i see recalls at least once a month so what good is broccoli and spinach filled with pesticide. WE're told to peel our fruit now and not eat the peels...pesticides again. What are we feeding our livestock...umm antibiotics...there goes the meat and milk.
I do think its smart to eat sensibly.. i buy my eggs from chickens that have not been given antibiotics...i use Laura's meats which does not use antibiotics......i don't eat fast foods. But i still got cancer...two different types...and now i have blood clots which they have no idea why...i was on a binge of drinking green tea which has a ton of vitamin K in it..apparently not healthy for me as K is a clotting agent.
Read an article yesterday which was written by someone with cancer.....read to the end.

I have no idea but if there was a definitive diet that worked which didn't involve something that when mixed up looked like bile i might try it.
By the way i often thought about colds as i never got them either..i think they're actually good for you as they rev up the immune system and get those T cells active.
I do beleive in meditation and visualization though.
And being on coumadin right now i can't have hardly anything green as its filled with K and I miss my brocolli and pesticide filled spinach.
xxxoooo Pat (my two cents worth which is about all i have after all those hospital bills)

Since I have the superfical type bc I am going to post my question here.
Pat pleaseeee feel free to throw in your two cents since you have studied bc so much and I value your opinion greatly.

I have a friend that wants me to do the diet and suppliment stuff before I let the Drs put any (nasty stuff ) in me re. bcg.
what do you all think. She says that if you do it (Diet) the total way, your bodys immune system will take care of it.( the bc) Does anyone know of any studies done on this. Not studies done by the guys selling this kinda stuff. But unbiased studies.
She is a vegan and total health nut, and in the almost thirty years I have known her she hasn,t even had a cold.
The only risk factors I had for bcg was a couple of family members got it, but they both smoke alot. I donot smoke nor drink, I am very active, ski, bike ride , have horses, back pack.
I just had a small reoccurence, my second in four or five years. I am figuring when I go back to john hopkins next time , I might get the word about bcg.
Sooo feel free to chim in your knowledge or opinoin. Thanks , Rocky
