Monitoring bladder cancer

7 years 11 months ago #35670 by Cynthia
Dion,

At this time there is no definitive test for bladder cancer. The ones that are on the market are not used as in home tests and are most affective when used paired with cystoscopy and other tests and procedures.

Your family members best bet is to be conscientious about adhering to their Urologists suggested time table for check ups.

Are there any tests you can do at home for surveillance. I heard of BTAstat and NMP22, but I don't know if they are reliable. What do you think of them? I am asking for a family member.
