Joeman..you're in a small percentage that cannot continue BCG
Ocular symptoms (including uveitis, conjunctivitis, iritis, keratitis, granulomatous choreoretinitis) alone, or in combination with joint symptoms (arthritis or arthralgia), urinary symptoms and/or skin rash, have been reported following administration of intravesical BCG. The risk appears to be elevated among patients who are positive for HLA-B27.

joeman,

Welcome to the site but sorry you need to be here. The following is a link to RxList a website that provides information about drugs. This is the link to the BCG side effect page. I think you will find what you are looking for with the joint pain about half way down the page.

We have had people here that have experienced significant joint problems that started following BCG treatment.

As far as your eye problems I will let others chirp in if they have experianced eye problems associated with BCG.

Good luck and again welcome to the site.

joint pain after bcg treatments was created by joeman
hi all
new here and new to bladder cancer. i have had a six round treatment of bcg, and no side effects untill the fifth treatment. it started with moderate back pain, and after the sixth treatment i developed iritis in both eyes, and extreme joint pain. my primary dr. ran blood tests and said it was extreme inflamation of an unknown origin. he put me on prednisone and that cleared up the pain to a great degree. the eye dr. took care of the iritis. i now go for a scope and biopsy on june sixteenth. has anyone else experienced this type of reaction from their treatments??. if so, what was your outcome of your side effects? i will appreciate any info anyone can give me. this is kind of scary. thanks all
