My doctor said beer and wine are gifts from God --just don't over do it.

Pat what are thoughts about vitamins? Such as Bladder 2.2 ???

Alan,
I'm a complete medical junkie. My Dad was a Pharm,MD and my mom a nurse. I grew up thinking everyone read JAMA and medical journals. Followed in Dads footsteps and actually worked for a major pharmaceutical company for 5 years. Back then there were no females in the field calling on doctors. I got bored and believe it or not ended up in show business. That was a little avocation of mine and a stage mgr. saw me in Chicago and had me audition for a show..the rest is history..i went on to get my Equity card and perform for over l6 yrs. Now you know where my Diva personality comes from!! :side: I then went into Production work with MultiMedia and Young Peoples Specials as an assoc. Producer, then became an Actors Agent..got burnt out doing that and became a Casting Director ..and then i became a caregiver for my husband..heart attack.Mother..heart/lung failure....Father...stroke and dementia...son, testicular cancer...and then Me..Bladder cancer so i was back at researching everything with the help of many of my former collegues. Its still a great love of mine and in my next life i will definately find the cure for cancer.
Am i rambling again? Its the chocolate!

Hey Pat , I am sitting here eating hersey kisses, lol I think chocolate has antidepressive effects. I know I quit drinking dr pepper when I had my bleeding ulcer , now I drink a fountain coke once in awhile because it is more diluded. I don't drink acholol or smoke so thats no problem and I love veggies, but that said I guess we could all do better huh. Rocky

Pat,

You're making me hungry. Question. You've probably posted it before. How did you acquire such an extensive knowledge of medicine? Maybe it's the good nutrition of pizza, beer and choc? If so I am gonna change back to my old ways!

The biggest impetus for my thread was somewhere I think I saw a comment from Dr. Lamm that he had observed a great number of his patients that gave up soft drinks seemed to avoid reuccerences. Maybe I was dreaming?
