Ann,

Glad to hear the lower dose is working!!!!
I think (but not positive) that the burning part of it indicates that it is working. It's supposed to cause some reaction.

I don't know about the cloudy bit. You may want to ask your uro. Could be cells sloughing off due to BCG, or something else entirely.

I completed my 3 weeks of maintenance BCG yesterday at the 1/3rd dose, and all seems to be fine. I just had some burning and frequency, but it's very manageable. Urine has started looking a little cloudy about 14-16 hours after the treatment, and I don't know what that's about, but I feel pretty OK so am not going to worry (or should I?). Next check-ups are July and October, and next BCG isn't for another 6 months (November) so I'm looking forward to a good summer.

Hi Alan
Bioniche is the sponsor of our Canadian bladder cancer network website.
www.cbcan.org
The trials are continuing in phase 111. Should have some preliminary results late this year.
Results comparing their product directly vs BCG will be a few years away.
Phase 111 trials are BCG refractory patients.
I can tell you that the people I know at Bioniche are extremely positive about their product.
When I hear more information I will post.

Everything I have read says using one's immune system would be ideal. There was even an immune response with severe grade melanoma's sometime last year on a tiny trial and while only 1 person responded out of 9 that person beat it back.

Logically, it seems like anything that can cause a sufficient immune response causing the bladder to kill the cancer cells would be good.
