...and the other thing that Lamm has said is basically that so far his reduced dose regimen has not shown reduced efficacy.
When I asked him about it a couple (or maybe a few) years ago, it was because I wanted to know why they don't just start with much reduced doses rather than waiting for people to have problems as it seemed like it would increase the success rate and greatly decrease the dropout rate.
The answer was funding of the research. Still, it seems that he has continued with using lower and lower doses and still has not found reduced efficacy.
Some day....they may be starting off with a 1/10th dose and reducing from there. Who knows.
Keep in mind that the dose strength comes from the required for a TB Vaccine and it is administered a completely different way. The six treatments in a series aspect comes from the fact that it comes in a six pack when you buy it from the supplier.
