Thanks for the info. Am off to see my GP today and we have a fabulous cancer center here and in Vancouver so should get top notch care... at least the best you can get for Canadian currency:)

Rick,

This was just recently discussed and there is a lot of good information and a study on this very question.

Go to this link for the Forum discussion and read it all the way through (including following the link to the study that KC put in one of his responses).

Forum Discussion on T1G3

Also, as Sarah Anne said, you want to get to a major bladder cancer center for this ASAP.

Once you go through that information, come back and post any and all questions you may have. I think you will find a lot of great information there to get you started though.

This sounds to me like a prime case where you need to go to a MAJOR bladder cancer center for a second opinion, PRONTO. If you could tell us where you live and where you have been treated, there are several "experts" on this Forum who could make suggestions as to where you might go.

This is not a situation where guess work is in order! And if you have read the background material provided on this web site, you will have noted that our motto is "Get a Second Opinion!"

Good luck to you

Understand concept etc of BCG but most sites state it is effective for non-invasive types of tumors. My specific situation is this, Tumor is Pathological, T1 that invaded the lamina propria. Last biopsy shows they got all that was there...that they could see... and now offer me the chance to use BCG instead of radical surgery... Just can't find any case history on BCG results in this situation. At this point my survival rate is pretty good... if the BCG doesn't work and I find out in 10 weeks or so that the tumors have gone to the next stage my survival rate drops almost 20%. also can't seem to get a straight answer on the odds of it regrowing at a rate that would take it past the LP layer and into the muscular layer.... any hints... comments... etc would be most welcomed... don't have a lot of time to decide. Thanks,
rick
