No, not at all. It just depends on the stage. I think you said yours was T-0? Usually, if that is the results of the biopsy, it is "wait and see". I think I would be more comfortable having three month cystos, but that is what protocol my Uro and I decided on.

I never had BCG. My Uro said that he did not recommend it in my case. Is that also unusual?

Yes, that is the reason to spread out the cystos, however usually the two year mark is the one that is used for changing to the 6 month space.
Actually, I am over my two year, but since I changed Uro's I asked that we still do 3 month, only because I had such a reaction to my last maintenance of BCG, my bladder is slow healing.

Thanks Nix, I am going to ask about the four month that turned out to be six month between scopes. I had expected to stay on the three month cycle for a while so it was a suprise. He was very upbeat however.
I know that B C reocurs in a fair number of casses but the fact that they eventually do start to spread our the scopes does indicate that the longer it goes after the TUR the lower the chance of a reocurance. Does that make sense?
Anyway, 24 hours to go untill I head over there so the stress rises, as you all know.

My fingers and toes are crossed for you :S
I believe the protocol is every three months for two years, then every 6 months. Perhaps if you mention to your Uro, that yu would feel more comfortable if you had a cysto every three months, he would place you on that schedule.

Baer,

Best of luck of the cysto! Here's hoping for an all-clear!
