Rudy, For 5 weeks out, you are doing great. That means you have only had the catheter out a couple weeks. You must have a cork in it!!!!!!! I am seven months out now. No leaks during the day. minor leaks some nights.
I have basicly returned to normal. Mucus is the only reminder I have of the surgery now. Keep up the good work. It only gets easier now. Enjoy the holiday. We have alot to be thankful for.

Jim

Some exercises that really help. The roll ins & roll outs helped me alot

:) Hey thanks guys, I am still not out of the woods yet. But as I said it seems to be going better than I had thought just a week or so ago. I am walking and doing some light house work like cleaning off the table, cooking, grocery shopping, etc. Still no heavy lifting or even moderate lifting for that matter. I've lost some muscle in my arms, upperbody and legs. I want to get back to lifting some light dumbbells, but I am going to hold off on that for a while yet. Maybe at week 10-12 I may start doing some 5-10 lb dumbells. I still have no desire to sit on my bike yet, hoping that will come in the spring. Don't want to pop anything.

Thanks for all the help and encouragement from everyone... this forum is really a blessing.

I want to add my name to the "I'm Jealous" list, Because I am!
I am a year out and still find occasional leakage! As I have said before, Rudy, "You are THE Man"

I am very glad you are doing so well. I really mean that!

Congratulations! looks like an impressive recovery. Glad to see that someone is having one. Some of us have found its a lot slower than we were told.

Uhhh, yeah, I'm jealous too!

Again, I hope it continues for you.

Great news Rudy! Congratulations on the progress.

At the rate you are going, full day time continence is just a week or so away. Keep up the kegels and the getting in and out of cars and coughing/sneezing will not be a problem.

As for night time, I'm jealous! Very happy for you though.
