Rudy,
Generally, that issue will subside over time. I found that it is better in the morning but the muscle gets a little weaker by late afternoon and evening. However at this point (20 months) I only use a very light pad during the day. I was only able to find them on the internet.
I did have that specific issue early on but as it got better, I also had some issues with mucus blockage. I was generally able resolve that by picking up something really heavy (a box of granite tiles worked for me) and that cleared that out pretty well. Involved the same muscles as getting up from a chair, I guess.
Watch out for any developing difficulty in urinating as time goes on. It could be from some scarring closing the opening, which will contribute to a mucus blockage issue. I had mine first cleared out with a laser late last year. Will probably go for a tuneup on that in the spring.
Your uro visits should include some tests of both volume and rate to get ahead of any retention issue creeping up on you. My last one showed a reduced rate although I was able to fully empty my bladder.
The most frustrating thing for me has been how slow some of the progress is, but if I look back a few months I can see the progress. As long as I can continue to see progress, I'm ok with the whole process.
