OK, Thanks to all; interesting.
In my case (to answer my own question) it was only 4 days so I guess I can't complain. Of course, it could start up again I guess (reading some of the posts). But the worst seems to be over. Yeah! :D

had 4 turbs past 20 months waiting to go again today!!!i have found that drinking lots and lots water to flush the system really helps, when you pass the scabs it should start to get clearer also i take cranberry tablets which helps to reduce the infection and hence the pain when peeing

p.s when will they come up with a less crude method of checking the bladder? :)

Tim, you have had 40 tumors removed over the years?!!! In how many years? I guess I could have had a lot more TURB's if I didn't let those low grade papillary grow and be watched rather than an immedicate surgery. It seems these low grade papillary's are like the energizing battery in reverse - they just keep coming, and coming and coming. When I complained to my original urologist that I couldn't see having a TURB every year he replied that some people have 3 and 4 a year. Now that a long term study has shown that people with papillary low grade recurrance need not have them removed immediately but rather to watch them until removal becomes more necessary, there should not be people having 3 and 4 TURB's or even flugerizations each year. It is damaging to the bladder, our emotions and our spirit to have to constantly be about to have or just come from surgery. It is also hard on the pocket book. The type of low grade papillary is called a nuisance disease by many bladder cancer specialists.

ive had about 40 tumours removed over the years and have had small ones that seem to bleed for weeks and large ones that give me no trouble at all. Usually it clears up within a week or two but then sometimes the "scab" drops away and the bleeding starts afresh. We are all different and I guess that's the reason for the lack of hard info from the medics. I guess it also depends where the tumour is removed from. Bladder neck tumours seemed to give me more grief.

Best Wishes

Hi, my first post on this website but I've been spending many hours reading all the info. What a great place!
I'm in between the TUR and the B. In-other-words, just had my resection of a small (3-4mm.) tumor 3 days ago and I'm waiting for the Biopsy. Pulled the catheter out this AM and I'm just wondering when the "Pink" goes away when I pee.
It's probably different for everyone but can I get some idea? Is it a few days or a few weeks for a small tumor of that size.
:-/
Thanks to all for sharing their trench stories and advice. It helps. The doctors and nurses tend to give you the minimum info so it's nice to have a site like this to go to to fill in the blanks.
