:silly: I have only had 6-BCG treatments so far, the last about 3-weeks ago! I got so fatigued, I had no energy at all. The NP doing the installations said this was a normal side-affect and that it would take 3 - 4 weeks to get my energy back between the 3-month interval treatments.

Supplementation helps!

I definitely had more fatigue with my last 12 BCG treatments vs my first 18.
I finished BCG treatments the beginning of Feb. and still could not walk 1K without having to rest in April. Slowing the fatigue has reduced and now I walk 5K very easy. Actually walk 18 holes of golf and not tired one bit.
The only changes that have occurred is no BCG, stopped Vit D in Feb, reduced my meat intake by 1/2. I am now in better condition than before being dx with bladder cancer in 2006. I suspect the combination of changes helped, but I really think BCG was the main cause.

Don't know if you're taking any vitamin supplements but dosages of Vitamin D over 1000IU's can cause fatigue.

Bob,

I have no idea if my situation is similar but, I definetly experienced more fatigue on intsillation 7-12. My URO put me on 6, then 6 off, then 6 and that is is it for a variety of reasons. While I believe I tolerated BCG well with increasing side effects-more spotting on #10 and 11-and wasn't able to hold it even an hour the last two. I also remember a couple of good friends finally confided a few months ago that I looked fatigued after the final set for a month or so. So fatigue does appear to a factor with some of us. I also felt stonger a month or two after the final set.

Plus, I need more sleep anyway from 10 years ago now that I am 57.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.
