Newbie-34 year old malT1G3 w/cis...scared to death

Hi Vin,

there is no point in pretending that you haven't drawn a poor hand, in view of your age particularly.

HOWEVER the big C stands for Challenge and it IS beatable as many on this forum will attest.

Let us get over one thing - we all know how scarey it is, especially that initial diagnosis or an upgrade in the Challenge. Being scared is one thing but 'to death' can be a self fulfilling prophecy. We all wake in the small hours and listen to our cancer growing >:( It is that little voice that attacks when least expected ;)

You are NOT alone now so how can we help you :-/ Where are you? perhaps someone on this list could meet up with you just for a chat or you may preffer the anonimity of the phone - I'd offer but from Britain that 'could' prove costly :(

Perhaps we can help better with a bit of history - age we know but gender is a guess at Male, married? Family? Medicare? Occupation? etc. the more we know the more accurate our help might be.

Now ask away - the more you know your enemy the more you can make informed decisions and structure a plan of action to defeat and delay at each stage.

There is a mass of information and documentation here on this list and on the internet, we can help you find the facts you need.

Don't forget winners NEVER quit and quitters NEVER win - decide to be a winner. We will all help until at least the fear is managed and the Challenge confronted - but at times it will be hard.

How can we help you to defeat this Challenge?

Good luck - you are no longer alone and almost all of us have 'been there' or are living through the same Challenge.

Regards,
Greg L-W.

Diagnosed with two T1G3 w/cis on 9/28/06.
Tumors were removed and cis scraped out on 10/03/06
Started BCG on 10/31/06
Discontinued BCG after second treatment due to extensive bleeding.
Had a cytoscope this morning to see what was causing bleeding and discovered two new growths.
My urologist is scheduling another TUR and says BCG must be discontinued until then.

Will somebody please chime in and say something encouraging? I'm having a terrible time getting my head around what's going to happen next.

Thanks,
-Vin
