How about blood without recurrences? I had blood and bladder symptoms for 8 years before I had the cancer. I've continued to have intermittent blood and symptoms without recurrence for almost 8 years since. Not visible blood, but microscopic. Only my poke & peek will let me know, so since this is my first year with annual cysto, I try not to stress about it.

I had one recurrence -no bleeding - one year ago - more BCG and two maintenance so far so good. I know how you feel, I go Nov 25 and my stomach starts to roll thinking about it. This is the firs time I have gone 6 months between BCG and I get nervous and worried.
I have had 2 recurrences since 2005, neither had given me any clues.
No blood in the uriene like when the tumors were 1st discovered.
I just had my 3 month check up, and no tumors were found.
That is now 12 months cancer free.
I have had no recuurnces since I started the BCG treatments every 4 weeks, for 1 year.
I believe we all worry just before our check-ups. I know I do.
I am hopeful for you, that everything we be clear at your next appointment.
Keep us informed when you get the good news.

I am going in for my first checkup next week since I was pushed out to 6 months. As usually happens when the appointment gets closer, I start getting nervous and worried wondering if it's come back.
I was originally diagnosed with a non invasive superficial tumor in Feb of 2005. My first symptom was blood in the urine. A year and a half later, I had 5 additional tumors removed, but this time there was no noticeable blood. I went through BCG treatment and have since been clean and my checkups moved out to 6 months.
I was just wondering about reoccurences with or without hematuria. Is blood normally seen with a reoccuence? My doctor says it depends on how fast the tumor grows and where in relation to a blood vessel it is. Blood may be present, but in small quantities and not noticed. I'm just wondering what other people's experiences have been.......
