Good news. I have my first 3 month followup cysto this Thursday.

Am curious - did you do BCG maintenance therapy after intial 6 BCGs?
If not, why did your doc or you decide not to do maintenance BCG?

Enjoy your news and your life.

Hi All-
Thanks for all your good wishes. Am still on 3 month cystos because of high grade, and some recurrences early on. Had mytomycin post turb . then six weekly instillatios of same, but touch wood seem to be keeping the beast at bay.

that is awesome. How did your doctor make it stay away? Is there something I should ask my doctor about, or do some people just have better luck than others?

I won't be getting any treatments right now. I wonder why , but guess this is how it is done. I hope so anyway.

Hi All my bc friends,
Went for my 3 month cysto today and all looks good. This is now more or less 2 years from my initial diagnosis. My uro had a new cystoscope going this time, not fibre optic, but much more detail and accuracy than the previous one. Had quite bad bladder spasms for a couple of hours after, and painful urnation but getting better quicklyI feel like by morning will be more or less ok.
