Jules,

So, well, nobody ever mentioned treatment? My understanding is that the jury is out concerning the effectivemenss of BCG on low grade tumors, however, when there are recurs, I have heard of it being done. Well, that's water under the bridge.

I do hope you will keep us posted about the white patches. I searched our forum archives, and nothing popped up...

Good luck on the 31st.

Thank you Rosemary and Susant for your repLies. I guess my tumors must have been Low grade as I have never had any kind of treatment. I have had 3 uroLogist so far and the second one did say why didn't I have any chemo treatment. To which I repLied, no one ever said I needed it. Just curious about if aLL on this board that have had treatment are cLasssified as Low grade. I sureLy hope being I had a tumor come back in Feb after such a Long time and now these 3 white patches that things are starting to change for the bad, hope not. I know it's scary for everyone here to be going through what we are deaLing with. I never thought about my cancer much when I onLy had to have a checkup once a year, but now I am back to every three months Like in the begining. So now it's on my mind again. Hang in there everyone--JuLes

Wow, Julie!! Welcome.

We rarely hear from a survivor who has been dealing with Bladder Cancer issues for as long as you have....(22 years?)

I'm assuming from the information that you have provided that your tumors have
historically been the lowest stage and grade and hence, no treatment?

I personally am not familiar with "white patches" though I've heard a lot about "red patches" around here.

Maybe someone else will pipe in soon who has had experience with or is familiar with a white patch condition.

Take care and please keep posting. I hope you will report back to us after the 31st, and GOOD LUCK!

HiaLL, I am so happy to have found a forum where I can communicate with others who are deaLing with bLadder cancer. I am a 62 year young femaLe and was diagnosed in 1986 and had the tumor cut out. I have had tumors come back 3 other times the Latest one on Feb 29th of this year, aLL three were cauterized. I then had an appointment on juLy 9th and did not have any new tumors. But my doctor did find 3 white patches near the neck of my bLadder which he cLassified as being of a suspicious nature. I have an appointment on JuLy 31 to see if these patches have grown into anything. Just wanted to know if anyone eLse has had any white patches and if so what did they deveLope into. Thank you for any info. JuLes
