Bad News

Thank all of you for your help. Yesterday I called Sloan and my doctor's office to have my records faxed. S/K said they would get back to me but I haven't heard anything today. I will call tomorrow if they don't call me first. I don't know if they have received my records yet. I am assuming that a doctor will review them before I hear from them. I will keep you updated on the news and will definitely seek a second opinion. I am still trying to figure out the doctor's advice. I can't imagine him telling me what he did. How could he live with himself if he is wrong and my cancer spread? Of course I am going elsewhere so it is a mute question but it is not a good commentary of our medical system.

It is so good to have all of you here supporting me.

I would most definitely get a second opinion as there shouldn't be a question if it is invasive or not if the test was done correctly. Also try to focus positive and take one test at a time and live each day one at a time or you will drive yourself crazy. Best Of Luck, Joe

If you have not already done so I would also have your pathology slides reviewed by Sloan. Experiance counts with blc and pahology and Sloan sees a lot of it. Call you contact at Sloan and and find out where to send them and to who's attention. Then call the hospital the TURB was done at and ask for pathology and find out what you have to do to have them sent on.

Balihigh,

You are doing the right thing by going for a second opinion. I wouldn't want to base your treatment on a hunch by your Doctor either. Let's hope he is right though.

You are doing the right thing.
