I've had bc since 2001 with several rounds of BCG already with recurrences during and after treatment. My doctor keeps saying "I want to reserve BCG for a higher grade tumor". I don't know the stage and grade. Pathology report from my last set of biopies doesn't say. It says "Non-invasive, low-grade papillary neoplasm, favor low-grade papillary urothelial carcinoma" for 3 of the 4 biopsies.

WHY? Whats his rationale for using Thiotepa when BCG is the Gold Standard.
What did your pathology report state regarding stage and grade?

Has anyone had any experience with intravesical treatment with thiotepa? What kind of side effects have you had? My doctor is starting me on this the week of July 7 and I'm a little anxious.
