Susant,
What you need to keep in mind, is that we are all different and while some will say they have had no problems, some will...and there will be varying degress of discomfort....so much depends on the individual, what their system is like, what kind of medical history they have, thier view point or attitude towards treatment, their doctor, his procedures, etc. Most importantly, you should do something because cancer does not tend to back off and leave us alone.
My mother-in-law was diagnosed in her early 50's with superficial BC and received something similiar to BCG treatements for the next 25 years...every year she had some type of treatment...some discomfort but it was worth it for her to keep her bladder. Finally, after almost 30 years the doctors had to take her bladder at age 80.
Me, I thought I had superficial BC in early 07 until my TURB when afterwards the doctor told me it was invasive in the muscle tissue. I am a complete whimp and wondered if I could go through with an RC...now my surgery is almost a year behind me and I'm doing extremely well...almost like the old me but better because now I don't have that worry. You are stronger than you know! Best of luck. Melodie
