Both prostate cancer and bladder cancer at the same time

This week I will have a bone scan. I've already had chest Xrays and a CT scan and the uro mentioned that he didn't expect to find anything, but that's the protocol. I'm 75 yrs/ with 8 gleason & 5.8 PSA and have been seeing urologists for years and no one thought to do a biopsy until recently.

Everyones case is different. My URO suspected prostate problems, but elected to attack the bladder cancer first, and then approach the prostate. So after 15 BCG treatments and numerous clear cystos, then the prostate biopsy (negative). Will more than likely have another cysto this month, 3 mos since biopsy, and probably another round of 3 BCG. Buy like I said, every case is different. Keep us poste on which treatments your URO suggests.

hi, guess I did not clarify. I had a prostate biopsy and it showed an aggressive type.

I am a bit confused by your post. How do you know you need hormone therapy and radiation if you have not yet had a prostate biopsy? I had a elevated PSA, which can be caused by BCG treatments, resulting in a prostate biopsy which came back negative. The biopsy will determine any course of action, if positive. Hope it is.

Just a few weeks after having a re-section for the bladder, I need to get a prostate biopsy and now I need hormone and radiation therapy. In July I have another cystopic exam to see what's going on in the bladder. Anyone else out there with this?????
