I like reading your posts, we have very much in common... I too am divorced and do these appointments alone (although I still have a very healthy 73 yr old Mom who lives 10 miles away and worries about me..
). And I HAD heard of in-office biopsies and fulguration, so I'm glad to hear from you and others.
I have made up my mind to trust my uro UNLESS my pathology is questionable. The first one two years ago was clearly non-invasive and low-grade. If this second one reads worse, I will find an oncologist, I believe. I don't know if I'll have to fight my HMO or not (they have been GREAT so far, I haven't paid a dime for any of my procedures)...
Sometimes, a little physical pain takes your mind off emotional pain, and puts things back in balance, making you appreciate every day you wake up NOT in pain. Or every day you wake up, period, is better than the alternative! 8)
