Hi Barb,
My doctor advised no really strenuous exercise for a couple of days after mitomycin treatments, but I was back in the gym after that, no problems, apart from frequency -I had to empty my bladder before starting to exercise, and sometimes again about halfway through my training. The mitomycin really is no big deal, once you·ve had your first treatment you·ll wonder what you were worrying about. Hope all goes well for you, All tthe best, Flamenco

I know it is vry hard to relax right now, you have been thru som of this unpleasant cancer stuff before. If the click the HOME button above on the left - you will find lots of information on what you're asking. Even some guides on what to ask your Doctor.
We will still be here for you, just try to breathe, and check it out,'
God Bless, Holly

Question, I walk 2 miles a day at the fitness center and lift weights, will I be able to do this while I am taking mitomycin treatments? Is it ok to be in large crowds because of germs??

That's what I had. Mitomycin immediately after my TURB and after I healed, 6 weekly treatments of it. I also had no side effects and my first 3 month check-up done this month was clear. I now graduate to monthly maintenance treatments. Best wishes to you for the procedure and treatments!

I had my surgery on 12/04/07 for removal of a 4 cm TA low grade tumor. I had the chemo placed in the bladder while I was still under during the surgery. I had no side effects from the Chemo.
