I once wondered, in my case, about tattoos and the pigments they have in them. I got mine in Hong Kong and I know in the US and UK they have to pass safety regs but I wonder if there's any relationship?

I had taken radio-active iodine around 15 years ago for a thyroid problem. I was wondering if anyone else has taken it? That is the only thing I can think of that I have done differently then anyone else. I asked my endocronologist about it and he said that I might be on to something. Anyone else's thoughts?

Clara..believe me..we're all curious. They always ask the same questions for all cancers.... smoking, dyes, .....And i'm not sure thats the answer. So many never smoked or were around dyes that they knew of......Nobody asks if you eat chicken or beef which is full of hormones or vegetables full of pesticides. I'd love to come up with a comprehensive way of compiling a poll to find an actual connection. There are so many of us that visit this site from all over the world this would be the place to do it wouldn' it?

I am not beating us up about the past, just was really curious....guess that came from when I worked in my son-in-laws law firm and he specializes in asbestosis.

We are taking a day at a time; my husband will be finished with his 10 radiation treatments to the pelvic area next Thursday (doing 5 treatments to a rib that had been getting sore). Hoping to have a break then and some time to just have fun.

My Dad smoked for some years back in his early thirties but never after that. He lived in China and worked in the porcelain business for 4 years he was exposed to dyes, paint, and other manufacturing materials and chemicals of that sort. I think we've all wondered about it at some point or other. But I think Zachary makes great points.

Back to Pete Best...I've changed my mind.

He shouldn't kick himself.

He is/was the poster-child for the bad luck Dr. Stein referred to. And he moved on with what I hope was no regrets. Sometimes these things happen. Most of life is under our control, but occasionally we slip on a banana peel. These banana peels, whether they're cancer or getting kicked out of the Beatles, may be devastating, but we still have to get up and dust ourselves off to the best of our ability.

Regret and recrimination don't work for banana peels, and they don't work for cancer.

By the way, if there's something you only do once in a blue moon then tonight's your chance .
