Glad all went well, and hope the nausea doesn·t kick in too much.

Mike..I forgot to mention in my last post..It doesn't happen to everyone. I notice Cynthia didn't mention it but it happened to me and it happened to a lot of others I have met. Some people get mouth sores that are really painful and there is this stuff called Duke's solution. It has some lidocaine in it. You swish it in your mouth and spit it out and you have immediate relief. If it ever happens to you ask them about it.
Blessings...Jean

You describe that frequency thing perfectly. You might get some restless legs too. Even though you aren't hungry try and eat protein. My go to food was scrambeled eggs and cottage cheese. Easy on the stomach and easy to swallow. I had the hiccups all day yesterday. Better than nausea. I don't have chemo again until Wednesday so now I will have a few really good days. Take good care.
Blessings....Jean

Felt normal most of the day yesterday. Drank lots of water to keep well hydrated. Ate well in morning and afternoon. No appetite at all after that. Made myself eat an orange for dinner. Still felt full. Liz had trouble sleeping which woke me up around 2am. I felt like I ought to eat something so I had the smallest bowl OD cereal I've ever had in life and had to force myself to eat it because I already felt full.

No significant nausea (knock wood). With the Emend, Zofran, and Dexamethesone keeping that at bay, I would say overall (so far) things are pretty great. I'm plenty overweight so if the lack of appetite comes without having to have nausea, I'm good with that. Intellectually, I think I can make myself eat enough for what I need but I'd be more than happy to lose some weight during this process.

I feel 100% this morning. Last night I felt like I was between radio stations. You know how the station comes in in stereo if it is bang on the frequency but if you turn the dial one notch it still comes in but loses stereo? That's the best way I can describe it. Slightly off frequency.

I do get somewhat burpy and get hiccups intermittently but neither has been bad. That appears to be a side effect of the nausea meds according to the package inserts I read.

No questions for anyone today. Just posting status. Hopefully, nobody here has to follow this part of the path I am on but I want to document it for others who come to the site. It is different for each of us but the info from Cynthia and Carla and Jean has been invaluable to me and I have taken it all to heart. I drink a liter of water between the time I go to bed and the time I get up in the morning. Since I wear a catheter to sleep at night, I don't have to worry about having to get up to go to the bathroom. I drink 3 more liters )at least) during the day. Always drank a lot of water anyway. I still have my morning coffee, which is a diuretic but the amount of water I take in offsets that with no problem.

I kind of like not feeling hungry! :)
