He is wearing the bags attached to his legs. One day at a time is how it goes. Does anyone know if it couldbe the radiation that is making him so tired?

Wow, he (and you) have really made progress. That's great news! I so hope he can celebrate the wedding with you, and you can relax.

Sounds like he will be able to shower eventually. How is he wearing the bags? Up or down? (leg back or waist)

Sorry I haven't updated....been a crazy week! Thank you for the concern.

My father is still very tired and weak but went out today with my mom to get a haircut! This is a big deal!!! He is undergoing radiation so we are hoping this will help with some of his pain.

My mother put pads around the tubes and that seems to be helping a lot with the irritation. They told him that he still cannot take a real shower so my mother is basically washing him. They showed them at the hospital how to take care of the dressings so my mother will be handling that as well. They tried having a nurse come but it was more trouble than it was worth.

8 days till the wedding...hopefully he will come. I called the hall and requested a more comfortable chair, I think he is considering coming for a couple of hours. It would really make everything special.

Mel, I know your wedding is getting close, and you're probably busy with lots of things other than this site, but I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. I hope your father is getting better, and able to move around, and that your wedding plans are still on track.
