Hi George,

I am glad to see you are getting into the oncologist. It's hard to be patient. I have often felt I am helping the cancer if I am not actively trying to irradicate it. Over time I am rethinking that theory yet it is hard to do.

My chemo started 5 weeks after RC and it was a bit rough but doable - any sooner and I doubt I could have. I did find it slowed my neo training, but I also did not recover as quick as you have been:) I relied on pull ups alot which was a bit of a bummer. With my chemo regiment there was lotsa lasics (sp?)which causes tons of voiding to flush the kidneys. It is what it is.

You know we are all here to help, support, listen and lean on each other so keep posting:) You're getting ready to fight - I can see it in your attitude!God Bless, Holly

I have an appointment to meet the oncologist on Monday. I'm sure he is going to make me wait the 3-4 weeks to heal. I wonder if waiting that time is / will have an effect on the outcome. I wonder if I'm losing valuable time waiting?
That is also when I have the catheter removed. I wonder how the chemo will effect me trying to train the new bladder. Especially if I don't feel well from the chemo. This otta be fun!
Thanks,
George

do the chemo, and take it one day at a time, you cant win if you dont fight.

George, I am sorry the news was not better after your surgery. I agree with what the rest have said. Take the time to heal from the surgery. Don't make a decision immediately. This news is depressing and it is not a good idea to make decisions when feeling depressed. I think you are asking the right questions so keep generating more questions and exploring choices meanwhile focus on healing. Julie

George,
I am sorry to hear that you did not get good results from your pathology report. I know it's very scary and you are terrorized, however, I agree with others, that have posted, you need to heal and stabilize before you consider all your options, which includes a second opinion. Keep in mind many cancer victims with lymph node involvement have survived and are leading normal lives. Who sez we are not in the percentage that survives? May God watch over you.
