Hi Lorrie,

I am thinking of you and Bob today...This is such a tough road...take a deep breath, and maybe a good stiff drink, know that you are not alone with your worries...It is tough watching a man who could do it all, not able to do much...I too struggle with that...Be strong, you can do this...It must be much harder for them...

With Love & Prayers,
Karen

Hello Lorrie,

I too worried about having my chemo delayed because of low counts. My 4 month chemo treatment turned into a 5 month program because of this.

It was always the last Gemz of each cycle that was delayed roughly a week until blood levels returned to acceptable levels to continue. I was assured this had no effect on the effectiveness and was within acceptable guidelines.

Your oncologist will be keeping a close eye on Bob's blood levels and will pull the plug on treatment if necessary.

I am glad you came here for a ramble and hope it helped...

Good luck with everything Lorrie ...you guys are in my thoughts..

Bob is scheduled for Chemo this morning- it was cancelled last week again. I worry about it's effectiveness with all the interruptions there have been. He does have a cold, not horrible but there, so we will see. The fatigue is also a worry- the Dr's did say it was cumulative though so I guess it's 'normal'.... I'm just rambling now- hope everyone has a good day- Lorrie

Lorrie,
I can really identify with you and your Bob.....mine does not look well either. His color is just bad and he is so doped that he just sits and sleeps. Many times things he does say are really foggy.
We will find out Thursday if he can have another chemo treatment or not.

Prayers are with you

Dear Bob and Lorrie,

I am glad you guys have checked in with us here at the forum.

Please hang on in... with the chemo....from cycle one I was also in a foggy world and it felt like I had the leading role in a slow motion picture for five months.

I wish Bob all the very best with his continued treatment and hope the fog lifts for you both real soon.

My thoughts are with you both...

Leigh
