Well here we go, entering yet again another uncharted territory "RADIATION". My husband consulted again with the Radiology Oncologist today and was marked and mapped. We will start tomorrow with 5 rounds Wed., Thurs., Fri., Mon. and Wed. We will have Christmas off. Since it will be directed primarily to the Shoulder, we are told there should be very few side effects...just pain relief, we are told it will take about 5 days after the first treatment to start relieving some of the pain. He is now taking 16mg of Dilaudid every 4 hours...we are trying to find something else that will work. I just want the pain to ease up. (Hopefully a Christmas present)it is all I want for Christmas....I will update when there is more to update.
