Hi,

My husband was prescribed pain patches called Lidoderm. Then eventually Fentynil Patches (which are much stronger). They don't give the side effects of oral pain meds...The Lidoderm work well because you can use up to 3 patches each time. You wear them for 12 hours, then off for 12 hours. He can put them right where the pain is.

As far as the oral pain meds...Everything that we've tried knocks my husband out.

Hope this helps...

Hi.

My husband has terrible joint pain after each dose of chemo. The oncologist prescribed him Vicodin but that completely knocks him out. Have any of you had any luck with other treatments?

Thank you for any advice!
