I had an illeal neobladder, so there is a problem with a condition called Short Gut Syndrome.
Not too common.
What it is, is that because a section of my small intestine was used to make the neobladder, the bile acids from digestion are not fully absorbed in the small intestine.
The length of the section is lower than what normally causes SGS.
Everybody's a little different.
Once those undigested bile acids make it into the large intestines...well, its a 'run for the roses"?
Bile acid diarrhea is not too uncommon, and can be managed with a drug that was desinged for lowering cholesterol.
Cholestyramine, a
And a simple Over the counter anti-diarrhea tablet might help.
DO NOT take any of these unless you doctor says so. It may contradict other meds, and you may need to have a colonoscopy to rule out aggrivated polyps in your colon.
It's a fine line, that your large intestines can tolerate.
Once you get them mad....you are not going to win that argument!
You will take many trips to the bathroom.
Check with your doctor about it.
