History of bladder cancer - Carcinoma instu back in 1996. Bet. 1996 - 2008, six separate rounds of BCG. 2005 left kidney removed due to bladder cancer progressing from stage 2. Remission from 2008 through 2015 . Bladder cancer return in remaining right kidney 2015. At that time treated at University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. July 2015 bladder return, but now in solo remaining right kidney, I began treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. Cancer in kidney treated from July 2015 to most recent biopsy today, 6/12/18. Findings Fragment of high grade Urothelial Carcinoma in background of graduation type tissue & inflammation. Further findings Rare typical cells in background of predomantly, denuded urothelial mucosa with grandulation type tissue & inflammation. atypical Urothelial cells present. I will meet with a Medical Oncologist at MSK on Thursday to determined saving my solo kidney if possible. Cancer Specialists at MSK opinion that hard decision needs to be made to removed solo kidney and go on dialysis.
