Find a new urologist. Correct percentage might be 0.9%, not 90%, but is likely much lower.
Here is a article about bladder performation needing open surgery repair. This happens in 0.36% according to the article.

"he said that a pinhole perforation of the bladder probably occurs about ninety percent of the time when excising tumors." I was advised by my URO that CAN happen but is very unlikely. He sounds very wrong. I agree with Sara Anne, time for a new URO.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

A couple of weeks ago I had a scope which we resulted in the excision of ten tumors. The next night I was readmitted to the hospital in excruciating pain. As it turns out the pain was diagnosed as the result of a perforation of the bladder during surgery and due to the kidney being overwhelmed with dye during the procedure. I have asked my urologist about this and he said that a pinhole perforation of the bladder probably occurs about ninety percent of the time when excising tumors. Would anyone have any thoughts about that?
