How is your hubby now, Donna? Mine is home and getting home health and PT. I know it is long road, but we keep pushing. If you need some kind of support that hopefully I can give, let me know. This all new stuff to me, but I am learning. I hope Bobby can go back to work...........but whether he can or cannot, I am here to help him anyway I can. Keep the Faith and let God take the wheels...........that is what I have basically done.

I do hope your friend continues to get better. I think as long as we keep Bobby from getting infection, the better he will be..........so far so good! The home health nurse come twice a week and the PT comes three times a week. Thanks for being a support!

Finally home! That is such a good thing. I remember the feeling of walking in the front door after the surgery, I was 100% better as soon as I sat down on the couch.

My friend was just released from the hospital YESTERDAY!
He was in the hospital for 40 days! This was in addition to the 27 day stay in the hospital for the RC! He is feeling so much better at home and is constantly wanting to know why I didn't have these troubles. I don't know what to say. The luck of the draw, I guess.

But let's talk about you....... I am so glad to see that Bob is home. Hopefully this is a permanent thing. I know the PT can be rough. At times I thought they were trying to re Injure Me! The harder I worked.....the more they pushed. But now, years later, I can say that PT gave me my freedom back.

Thanks for the update and Keep your chin up..... Because it will get better.

We went through rehab which was an awful experience with the nurses and the PT's! We are home now with home health and a PT that we have used in the past with my Mom. Bobby is getting better, but it is still going to take time. How is your friend that had infection problems? I hope you and him, too, are doing well. We just take it one day at a time now!

I am very thankful for your input. I have been on my wits end with the stomach cramps and the occasional disorientation. His kidneys are beginning to function normally, but the cramps are really bad. He thought he was in Briton this morning and now he is normal! Thanks again!

I too had a bout with kidney failure due to cisplatin issues and was on dialysis for a period along with colitis, dehydration and fever. My wife relayed later that I also exhibited a substantial amount of confusion during that time and resolved (I think, lol) with the recovery of kidney function, infection and reduced fever. Hang in there, its gets better from my experience. All the best.
