Thanks George, I remember what it was like to ice skate... I mean ski back east. I also ski to ski another day now. I'm also one of those locals who only skis when conditions are good. But then I can afford to do that living here in Colorado.
All the best

Nice picture. conditions look good!
I have only been 5 times this year, But you know that we Easterners have to use so much more energy when skiing because we use our edges!  This has been a tough year so far, due to lack of snow.... until now! The last time I skied at Jackson Hole we had the gamut of weather.... 40 degree sun, RAIN, Huge Snowfall, Cold and Windy, and then 40 degree sun. Man that was a BLAST!
But the only day we encountered any crowd was the powder day! Every other day was considered "too crummy" to ski by the locals. Spoiled, I guess.

Have fun..... Ski fast and take a lot of chances. Ahem, that USED to be my mantra. Now I just ski to ski another day.

Thanks Mike. I want to see if there is a continuing problem with UTI. If it comes back too soon then I think I will need to use a catheter to make sure I empty at least once a day. From the research I've done so far and knowing my own body I think it's related.

I've been up skiing about 14 times so far, may go up on Sunday with my son. Conditions are pretty good right now. More snow on the way.

Regards,
Rudy

That's good to hear Rudy. The infection can explain a lot.

Don't come over to the dark side (condom catheters) unless you really have to. The problem with them is that they are too easy. You put them on and hook up to the bag and sleep like a rock through the night with nary a care. Wake up and dump the bag, wash everything up and toss the condom catheter.

If I wanted to get up every hour, I could probably set an alarm and cath once per hour but that just has no appeal whatsoever. Before my surgery, my prostate caused enough issues that I would wake up every hour to 1.5 hours to go. I kind of like how I feel now that I can actually sleep through the night so I'm not going to try that. If I was on the road and ran out of them or the bag had a problem or something, I could do the clock thing in an emergency but I'd be a mess long term.

If you think you are not emptying, you may want to talk to the doc about using a catheter every now and then. If you haven't used one it is way scarier than it needs to be. Without the prostate it is simple and easy and that way you know it is empty. Some guys have to do that once a day just to be sure.

Mike

PS: Hope you got plenty of time in on the slopes this year. I've only been up seven days so far. Hope to do some more toward the end of this month.

Yah... I guess I should have paid for that extended warranty.

I think the voiding issues were aggravated by long road trips and meetings. I did not stop or get up and hit the water closet and spend the time I needed to void.

Anyway, it's no big deal as I said, most of the problem was related to the UTI. Nighttime is just a minor problem, at least for now, and is actually getting better since the infection's clearing up. I can deal with it.

If it gets worse I may choose to do the condom catheter.
We will see.

Regards and good health to you all,

Maybe an extended service contract is in order.
I have worked hard to LEARN to void completely. The extra time you take is valuable.
