Some old fashioned remedies for irritated muscles?

Diesel,

Without the my kids I don't think I would have the high level motivation to beat this over the long run. I realy do plan on seeing them leaving the nest, voluntarily or involuntarily!

And as a follow up, the Flexeril got the muscles back to a happy state until this weekend the flu hit... everything on the mend is a little more sensitive again today, but still getting better.

5.24.10 Final staging T2G3 7.28.10 Started Gemcitabine, Cisplatin neoadjunctive chemotherapy
11.2.10 RC with NEO 11.18.11 First year CT shows possible liver tumor
12.8.11 Confirmation of TCC BC mets to the liver 6.27.12 Final round of Dose Dense MVAC
7.26.12 Final scans showed no tumor or no...

The Flexeril did wonders over night! The pain this morning is very tolerable finally. Now I just have to be patient and let it heal. In eight months, too many things for doing another surgery right now. Time to heal from all of it and move forward.

The two year old has been pretty keen to everything and after seeing my tummy, he never has asked to be picked up or asked for lap time, so snuggle time was sitting next to me. He figured this out on his own! He has been a great helper and distraction for all this, he keeps me motivated.

Bill,

Glad to hear that it is NOT hernia. Good thing you got that checked so you could be sure. That gets rid of the stress of thinking about another surgery! If you pulled a muscle that bad, you should clearly be careful because you don't want to do that again. It is also a risk to getting a hernia so again, be careful.

Glad you got something for the pain and have a plan of action. Keep up the walking but don't be picking up the two year old! Have somebody put him in your lap after you sit down. Can't give up that lap time but you do need to be careful with that lifting and twisting.

Best!
