Whenever I go to the dr and they ask for a sample I just tell them that I have a bag and they say ok we don't need it. Sometimes I feel like wearing a sign.

My surgeon told me it would pretty much look like WW 3 in there. Big difference between colonization and infection. Any time I've had a urine test while in the hospital for anything they think they need to put me on all kinds of antibiotics. I don't need them though.

Hey Duke...you really may not have an infection if you have no symptoms. So many uro's are not aware of what is in our pouches...its a wild city of bacteria in there. I always carry this paper in my purse as every time i give a urine sample they tell me i have an infection......and I DON'T. Show this to your uro......

I had an infection or two not long after getting my neo 18 months ago. Have been clear up till last week when I went in for my six months check. I had no signs, but the Dr. was pretty sure I had one as soon as he seen my sample. Knock on wood, but i have yet to have to cath. (counting my blessings) I believe the infection is my fault. I have quit drinking as much as i should, and have gotten very lazy about making myself take the time to completely emtpy my bladder. I know I need to recommit to trying to do better. When things are going so well it is easy to slowly stop doing everything right. So FarRed, if you feel just like I do about cathing, stay on top of everything you are suppose to do.
