Thank you for your message, I am very happy that this part of my life has been restarted and feel very grateful.

Going into the RC surgery I was hoping that the sparing technique would not have been a problem however because of the size and location of tumor it was not performed.

My Urologist however did suggest viagra to stimulate blood flow and Androskat injections. Apparently any fine nerve endings that may have been left over from the operation can be stimulated to grow.

I guess everyone of us has a different response to medication and I am unsure why your husband was not offered medication theraphy first. I am no doctor so their must have been a reason why he was not offered it.

In answer to your question if it would be possible to use the injection when an implant has been installed I cannot answer. We do have implant users at this forum and I am sure they will be able to help with this question.

I don't know why they wouldn't have a chance of working at least. Caverject opens up the blood vessels in the penis and allows blood to flow in. It has to be worth a try. It can't do any harm although obviously do it through your doctor.

Leigh, that is great news that you are able to have erections with the shot. My husband also was unable to have the nerve sparring operation however his surgeon told him the shots wouldn't work and he would need to have the implant. I'm wondering what the medication is that is injected? I'm also wondering if it would work for my husband even though he has the implant. It is great news that this part of your life is returning to normal.

The injections have been going very well and I have now found my ideal dose for a good erection. It is great to have the life injected back into my willy

The injections have stimulated the blood vessels so much that on several occassions I have had semi-erections on days when no injection had been used.

This was mentioned to my Urologist, as the nerve sparing technique was not performed due to location and size of tumor. He said that this does happen and small fine nerves and blood vessels often get stimulated because of the injections.

I was hesitant for so long because of fear but now I am so happy to regain this part of me and so too is my partner ;D
