I did not have any restless arm/leg syndrome after the RC or any other unexpected pains (except for an excruciating ileus).

I have experienced more leg pain since my Bladder removal than ever before.
Some nights are worse than others, some are pain free.

Since I only have 1 kidney, I have to be cautious for what I take.
Right now I am taking nothing which makes some nights worse than others.

Has anyone else experienced an increase in restless legs after BCG therapy? I have taken Requip for 2 years and it usually controls my RLS but the RLS has been much more severe this week. It started 2-3 days after my 4th treatment. Also having more arthritic pain but both problems could be unrelated to BCG.
The good news is my spasms are almost gone when I take the Ditropan.:) Was even able to let bleach stand for 15 minutes most times last week. Hooray!

Thanks Wendy,
Gene took 2 Tylenol pm pills last night. But he had been feeling this for a couple days. First I questioned him about anxiety, panic feelings? He said, no. its not like that. I had a bout with clinical depression 25 years ago, I take Celexa and have for years so I am aware of depression symtoms for sure. We'll see how it goes today. I appreciate your message. The weirest things come up, but our daily dialogue is inching away from being sick.
Thanks ,
Ginger

Hi Ginger,

Does this happen when he is tired? If it hits at bedtime, it's probably'restless leg syndrome-RLS' and/or 'periodic limb movement disorder' which includes restless arms and body, it is separate from cancer and a treatable condition. Left undiagnosed this can make a person's life miserable.

It made mine miserable since childhood, until I learned it was a neurologic disorder treatable with meds.

If he's having this physical restlessness during daytime hours when he's not trying to relax, it is something else, could be related to medications or who knows what. It's not common, I think, as after years of talking to blc survivors and warriors nobody has complained of having these symptoms over the daytime, at least that I know of...

I hope you can sort it out soon.

I need to pick your brain to see if anyone has had that feeling after surgery of not being able to keep your legs still, and arms for that matter. Gene has been having this for 3 days now. It isn't just at night , its in the day as well. Just when I thought heading for the light, something new to ask. any info would help.
Maybe its not related to the r/c. Maybe because he has been out and about?
