God Bless all you beautiful friends !
I am back from Mayo's...and I couldn't be happier!!
My bone tumor is benign
It is a painful benign but BENIGN.The enlarged lymphnode is not any bigger so it is believed to also be BENIGN
I love that word:) lol
Urology said all is well - they did the urogram and labs etc. I will have to keep on 3 month checks like this for atleast 4 years because they said my cancer warrants the heavy surveillance. My B12 was low so we are going to try the B12 patches. You wear it for 24 hours once a week. I will let all know how it goes.
Oncology was very positive also. They will be asking for bone scan every six months and on the other check ups just for still films on the tumor. My liver and kidney functions were even better than they hoped for so I was very relieved. They think it is a good idea to keep my port in for a few years so it will be staying.
I did find out some info about my situation from Mayo's....Dr told me I am apx the 100th successful female neobladder. ANd I am among the 1st successful female neobladders with the DaVinci.
I asked about my "mutt puppy" hair...I was told that cisplatin usually takes the hair ( mine thinned but never completely fell out). When it grows back - it is usually a bit curly and darker - with some grey. It should get normal over several months. The chemo brain prob - last quite a bit longer too.
It feels so good to be this happy again! Thank you for praying and caring so much - You are all in my prayers too! MWAH, Holly
ps. Joe and Pat - have you found my missing sponge yet? LMAO
