Hi Carmine,

Can't you get the experts from Fox Chase to devise your chemo protocol and then get it close to home, as you would prefer? It should be possible...check into it.

Wishing you and your wife all the best,
Wendy

Hi Justme pat!
Thank you for your post. I guess there's a few of us that are not sure what to post about our situations, but it really does help me to cope wih this too. When I talk to friends and family about it, they are very concerned, but have more questions than answers and that's ok, but I like being able to come here, learn more and at the same time not feel like I'm afraid and alone in going through this. I hope I can, in turn, help someone else as well. My wife, Rose, will come here to understand more about b/c but she is reluctant to post her feelings right now. I hope that will change so she can let everyone know what is going on during my treatments when I can't.
Thanks

Carmine and wife,

I too read a lot before I got the courage to post anything and still read a lot and post not too much. It does help to post. For me anyway, I feel alone so many times enought through I have the support of our children and other family members there are still those times I feel alone and I can come here and know that others are in the same spost I'm in too.

Carmine we came home to have the chemo and at first I was afraid my husband wouldn't get the same treatment as he would get at Mayo but he's getting the same chemo he'd receive there and everything is the same. The nurses and doctors are wonderful here and I'm not afraid anymore about this part of the treatment. It's such a comfort to be home and in our own bed at night. Hope it works out for you too.

good wishes for you both,
justme pat

Hi Joe!
Thanks a lot. Spring & fall are the best seasons of the year. I'm always too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. At least the older I get it seems that way. I'll take your advise on the anti sick meds I don't really want to deal with that if I don't have too. If I have to though, then I will like everything else with this situation.
Thanks again,
- Carmine -

Hi Carmine, Just wanted to say good luck, I see you have made your desision on what direction to take. Good for you, always the hardest part, but the easiest once you have made it. A little advice on the chemo, Take the anti sick meds as soon as you get em, they help a great deal, little meals, lots of liquids and stay as active as you can. Visit freinds and family often. Fall is on us so, get out and enjopy it as much as possible, great for the soul.
Good Luck
Joe
