anyone had left side pain after RC?

Could this be the kidney or ureter being blocked? Which side is the liver on?

Please have it checked out. I'm happy to hear the pain comes and goes, then it is most definitely not cancer pain.

Jeff....wierd that you would mention the left side...i'm 4 yrs out from my cystectomy but every once in a while i get a ridiculous pain high up in the left side that just about goes into my rib cage...it kind of radiates and then calms down. It almost always happens when i'm doing nothing at all..just sitting.....maybe its a part of the large intestine bumping something? Wonder if anyone else has it? Pat

Had RC on 2/10/2007, the last couple of weeks been having terrible pain on my left side waking up to pee at 3am not every time. This continues when I go back to bed. About 7:30 am get up and pee still having the pain. Then I sit in a chair have a cup of coffee and it’s gone until the next morning. Don’t know if it’s due to sleeping on my left side, which I never did before the R.C.

I never had any internal pains from the surgery except for the staples.
