James,

This helps MANY people! Thanks for posting. It is an encouragement and glad the wife's progress is going forward. From the many that have had major surgeries her recuperation should slowly build momentum.

Regards!

Been a little more than a week since last post, 34 days since surgery.

1. All of her incisions just about healed.
2. Stoma healing very well.
3. Constipation on and off (taking colaise and eating prunes).
4. Getting around a lot better, but still fatigued super easy.
5. Has not left the house yet as gets tired very easily, but is getting stronger.
6. No unexpected situations.
7. Wound ostomy check up appointment on Monday.
8. Urologist appointment a week after that.

I will continue to post weekly updates from here on out just to continue documenting her process for others.

Hope this helps others.

Thanks,

James

Was going to wait a week to update, but thought I would now since got a call from doctor with pathology results.

All lymph nodes were negative. The cancer progressed through the muscle wall and invaded the fatty layer, but appears to have been contained there. Plan is to see urologist in a month and then oncologist that will follow up with three month scans.

As far as recuperation, it has been up and down. Lot of pain still, but moving around better with a walker. No more vomiting, but still difficulties with restroom.

I will post weekly updates from here on out just to continue documenting the process for others.
